Below are the steps involved in installing the front bumper.

1.  Start off by removing the stock bumper. Do this by disconnecting any wiring connected to fog lights which may be present on the bumper. With the T50 Torx carefully remove the two bolts located on the underside of your passenger side particularly of the bumper which holds the vacuum ball specifically to your bumper.

2.  It is a good idea to remove your bumper by properly removing your stock bumper in a way that the brackets are still attached. You will have to remove six bolts. Carefully remove and keep these six bolts employing the 10mm socket or even wrench. For those who have factory tow hooks, you will have one or even two other bolts which need to be removed from your tow hook brackets which go through your frame rail.

3.  Disconnect the vacuum ball that is found on the passenger side. Also, relocate it. It is recommended up within the engine bay somewhere.

4.  If you have the 96 or earlier model then you will have to also remove lower fender supports. Start off by removing the two sheet metal screws present on the ends of every bracket. One will be found that attaches your lower fender support, particularly to your inner fender triangle base.

5.  Now you need to cut the fenders. It is only the 96 and previous ones which need fender trimming. You can get a pneumatic cut off the wheel to do this. Use anything that can cut sheet metal. Use some masking tape over the place to be cut to keep the finish safe and as a clean surface so as to mark the line. Paint the cut metal after you have completed the task.

6.  Trim the fender line according to your wishes. Employ the 10mm socket so as to remove your lower trim upon 96 and previous models.

7.  Then bend plus push the horn bracket particularly in as well as the back.

8.  If you have the Uni-frame Tie-Ins and installing the Vanguard bumper then you need to carry out some other steps.

9.  If you do not have tie-ins then install the bumper. Two spacers need to be supplied so as to mount among the new bumper type of mounting brackets as well frame rails. Remember that the bumper brackets tend to go on the outside specifically of the frame rails. Lift the bumper up then test install some bolts to verify fit. If you have tie-ins then the process is different.

10.  Look at the hardware once again and tighten down.

You now have your new bumper installed.
